As a self-confessed cricket tragic, Ant’s enthusiasm to get to the bottom of the physiological cause of an injury and putting together a treatment plan is on par with his keen interest in the analytics and strategy that draws him to the game.
After graduating from Auckland University of Technology, Ant worked at Waikato Hospital for 18 months before travelling and working overseas for seven years. On his return home, he completed a Masters at Otago University culminating with a thesis on identifying triathletes at risk of developing a stress fracture.
Becoming a partner in what is now known as GoPhysio in 2007 hasn’t limited him to the practice itself. Ant has been a physiotherapist for MTB National Performance Hub, Cycling NZ (Track and Road) and Waiariki Academy of Sport (MTB, Kayaking, +). With all that time spent in the pits, it’s just as well Ant loves cycling in all forms.

Jay has a big soft spot when it comes to her dogs and makes sure they get plenty of attention and walks in the forest. She’s equally gentle and attentive in helping people with their recovery from injury so they can get back to their favourite activities and sports.
In 2010, Jay completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at Otago University before going on to complete a new graduate mentorship program at Weribee Mercy Hospital in Melbourne. She was a private practice physiotherapist in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, where she treated a range of work-related, post-surgical and sports-related injuries.
Just as she loves teaching her dogs new tricks, Jay has increased her own skill set to include clinical pilates, manual therapy, Kinesio® Taping including RockTape, superficial dry needling, myofascial treatment, occupational physiotherapy, exercise-based therapy, spinal rehabilitation and shoulder rehabilitation.

Rugby, touch and league are some of Jock’s favourite things and he applies the same nimble, hands-on approach to helping people with their rehabilitation, working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
Jock graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2014. A career in physiotherapy often means you can mix practice with pleasure and for Jock that has meant being the physiotherapist for a number of different sports teams, including recent contracts with NZ Maori U20 Rugby and Bay of Plenty U16 Touch teams.
His cheeky smile is an insight into the enjoyment he gets from interacting with clients and being a part of their rehabilitation journey. Like golf, success will come with practice, patience, confidence and control and that’s very rewarding for Jock.

Look at this gorgeous pair! Unfortunately Winnie the miniature schnauzer isn’t always at Lydia’s side – during the working work we are the lucky ones to have Lydia with us.
Lydia worked in the NHS in the UK and in private practice as a junior and senior physiotherapist in and around London, including within orthopaedic specialist clinics, and rugby and rowing clubs. She has worked in New Zealand for seven years, completing hands-on manual therapy and exercise therapy, vocational/occupational health services, acupuncture, sports physiotherapy and pilates.
Lydia continues to up-skill and has recently completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Rehabilitation. Prior to this she completed APPI Pilates Matwork Level 1 and 2, clinical yoga, musculoskeletal acupuncture, musculoskeletal dry needling, Mckenzie concepts, Mulligan training and a Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy.
For all that formal training, one thing Lydia loves the most about being a physiotherapist is learning something new from every client.

Just like her photo suggests, nothing is ever a problem for Richelle, our always-smiling Practice Manager. According to her, she loves the variety and that her job challenges her every day in different ways.
Richelle’s role is to implement the policies and procedures that keep the practice running smoothly, including staffing and scheduling, compliance, controlling the sales cycle and privacy measures.
Also according to Richelle, she enjoys the positive workplace culture at GoPhysio, which again, probably has a lot to do with her. If you haven’t already met Richelle, look for the one with the gorgeous big smile and say hi when you’re in for your next appointment.
